Sources for Third Writing Project

My top source at the moment is one I found off of Credo.

I used the keywords "trans health" and it showed up. It's interesting because before I tried to be more specific but it backfired. I tried "trans youth health injustice" and only definitions of transgender would appear as well as healthcare issues of the LGBTQ community. I tried "trans health issues" and the articles that would appear were actually too medical-based discussing general health issues encountered by trans individuals rather than systemic/discriminatory issues. My search strategy was to first use google to really find what I was looking for then to use keywords I found in those article titles into my credible search engines. This one is the best one I have found so far. It is more informational than argumentative so it allowed me to learn and curate my own argument rather than leading off research. Honestly, this topic really hits close to home but I'm not super educated about it so this process has been eye-opening for me. I feel a bit hypocritic writing about the lack of education around trans health when I am part of the issue but I think I am also the BYPRODUCT of a poor educational system to educate the general population on these matters.

My next step of research is to go into all the intricate points of 'determinants of health' to really examine the health of trans identities today and its complications.

One of the most important sources of my essay is going to be my own anecdote about my experience living in Arkansas with a trans questioning sibling and how trans identities are viewed in Vietnamese culture. The stigmatism:(
